Less than 30 minutes from downtown Charlottesville and only 10 miles from the airport, tucked away in the heart of Virginia’s wine country sits Guildford Farm, one of Central Virginia’s most relaxed and comfortable farm wedding venues. Built in the 1790’s, Guildford Farm was the original home of the Early family, the namesake of Earlysville, VA. In 2003, the 8,000 square foot home was completely restored. From the tranquility of the gently rolling hay-fields and shaded lakeside banks to the stateliness of the historic farmhouse and rustic barn, the property is as unique as it is expansive. We offer significantly more than just your typical "farm or barn wedding"! Given the property’s size, we encourage you to explore and imagine the possibilities. The 100+ acres of private property provides for a very intimate setting for your special occasion. We are certainly not a "get in, get married, and get out" venue.

Our NEW custom designed facility offers nearly 4,000 square feet of temperature controlled indoor space including all of the amenities needed to provide an extra level of comfort for your guests (recommendation of 50-200 guests) and vendors. This is not just another farm and barn venue: the new reception center was designed for weddings/events...but also matches the timeless beauty and classiness of the entire Guildford Farm property. Between the Home and the Event Center, there are many options for both sides of the wedding party to get ready! Since our old barn (not climate controlled) will no longer be needed as part of the reception, it has been transformed into our "game room" barn which includes dartboards, corn-hole, poker/card setup, a seating/bar area + other fun things to make your wedding a full weekend experience (this is also a rehearsal dinner option if weather allows)!
