Located in nearby Barboursville, Preddy Creek Trail Park has 10 miles of trails for hiking, running, mountain biking and horseback riding.
Hikers and runners find the trails easy to moderate. For a great family outing, follow the Creekside Trail for beautiful views of Preddy Creek and enjoy a picnic on the bank - even the dog will have fun with a quick splash in the water.
“It’s a blast!” seems to be the general consensus among mountain bikers. The new addition of an advanced mountain bike trail with unavoidable technical features is what has these riders excited, especially since no horses are allowed in this section. Please note that advanced skills are required only for this trail; all other trails are great for beginner to intermediate riders.
Horseback riders enjoy exploring the trails and are provided with horse trailer parking as well as hitch posts for easy tacking up.
A detailed map of the trails, including mileage, can be found at the kiosk.
