Greene County Visitor Center
As you enter the Greene County Visitor Center, you will be taken back in time to experience the rich county heritage through an amazing mural display. A vintage quilt from our Historical Society Museum, information on the Blue Ridge Heritage Project, and a Taylor Family heirloom exhibit are a few of many displays which fill the rooms within our Visitor Center.
Greeted by a friendly person, you will receive an introduction into the history, dining, shopping, and culture of the county and region. As a state certified Visitor Center, we offer brochures and maps covering the coastal sands to the peaks of the Blue Ridge Mountains. With the county centrally located to many wonderful venues, we can easily guide visitors to presidential homes, wineries, potteries, antique shopping, and national parks which are just a short drive away.
We offer an inviting space to relax on our front porch, to savor a complimentary cup of coffee, and to connect to our free wi-fi. Our outdoor space provides tables to enjoy a picnic and a pet rest area to allow your canine companions to stretch their legs. A welcoming visit to the Greene County Visitor Center will fill you with the comfort of home. Stop by, say hello, stay a while and you’ll agree.
